About Us

Turn One Racing is Tom Tiernan, Joe Denowh, and Marshall Skloss.  Three friends who came up riding, racing, and instructing together.  All of us found a distinct lack of reliable, professional resources for riders who want high performance support in the form of aftermarket parts and services.  And so, on the twisty tracks, in the friendly paddocks, and between our three garages, Turn One Racing was born.

Tom Tiernan

The founding father of Turn One Racing, Tom Tiernan started the original "Turn One" as an aftermarket parts and accessories resource for track riders, racers, and fellow riders through his passion for the sport. Tom's experience on and off the track as a Control Rider for the Northeast Sportbike Association is where he met Joe and Marshall, leading the three of them to ultimately create the turnkey operation that has now become Turn One Racing, Inc.

Tom's vision of a trackside support team that could provide racers and riders alike with the highest caliber of aftermarket parts and service was realized when Turn One Racing entered into a partnership with NESBA, securing its position as the exclusive Midwest vendor, and began operating as a corporation whose goal is to provide service and support that is second to none.

Joe Denowh

A graduate of the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, and long time head of the service department for Beloit Honda/Yamaha/Suzuki, Joe Denowh has been working in and around motorcycles most of his life. His experiences on track ultimately encouraged him to test himself competitively in the shark tank that is middleweight roadracing.

With a shoestring budget and an undeniable will to win, Joe emerged from 2007 as the Midwest region's amateur Middleweight Superbike Champion, and now brings his skills and experiences to bear as the Chief Technician for Turn One Racing.

Marshall Skloss

Veteran NESBA Control Rider, accomplished club racer, and sometime motojournalist, Marshall Skloss began his working relationship with Turn One Racing in 2006, where riding buddies Tom and Joe suddenly found themselves providing aftermarket parts and invaluable technical support for Marshall's marathon season of 96 races in 13 weekends.

By the end of a single season that netted two amateur National Championships, and seven Regional Championships, Marshall, Tom, and Joe had forged a friendship that would ultimately lead to the partnership now known as Turn One Racing, LLC.

Yuri Dobrowolsky and Chris Frye have been riding and racing together with Tom, Joe, and Marshall since the beginning. Their extensive experience as Control Riders and accomplished club racers made them a natural fit for the Turn One Racing Team. Knowledgeable, likeable, and approachable, Yuri and Chris are two of the pace setters at any given event.

Together, the different bikes and variety of characters that make up the Turn One Racing Team can be recognized by their signature Turn One livery. Whether working with Beginner or Intermediate riders, competing against the region's best, or just out there having fun, the Turn One Team and bikes are dominant force at every event.
